Maria and Murphy the two dogs I rescued whilst cycling Brazil arrive to Scotland tomorrow!
I am so incredibly excited. I have no idea how I will sleep!
Murphy had been shot and is missing an ear and an eye and still has shot gun pellets inside. When I found Murphy he was covered in ticks, underweight and was near death from tick disease.
Maria also had advanced tick disease and an ulcer.
Once dogs were healthy it took some more months to go through procedures for them to be allowed entry into UK.
When I departed Brazil, Dogs in Brazil took over care of the dogs and did all the work necessary for dogs to travel whilst the world bike girl community fundraised the costs to which I’m eternally grateful.
It’s taken a lot of love, care and fund-raising to arrive to this moment and I want to say thank you to everyone who helped make this happen.
Dogs in Brazil is an incredible front line rescue organisation in Brazil and I thoroughly recommend checking out the [ilink url=”http://www.dogsinbrazil.org” style=”note “]Dogs in Brazil [/ilink] website or social media pages.
Thank you everyone
