£500 Raised for Animal Aid!

Thank you to everyone who donated to the sick and injured street dogs and cats of Fethiye, Turkey!

Animal Aid is a charity made up of volunteers whose aim is to improve the welfare of street animals in the Fethiye area of Turkey.  It was founded in 2008 Calis, where myself and Lucy the Street Dog sheltered through the Turkish winter of 2015.  It was during this time I volunteered for Animal Aid and each day myself and Lucy cycled to feed the street cats with food given by Animal Aid.  Sometimes the water bottles on my bicycle were replaced with tins of cat food and we rescued injured cats too.

Animal Aid is a supporter of a neuter and return programme and also provides a rescue service for street animals, with veterinary care, after-care and fostering where necessary.  Thank you to everyone who donated to such a great cause!

It was my first time paragliding and I do admit to being nervous.  So much so I had a beer for breakfast!

But what an incredible experience.  It was like sitting on an airplane seat minus the plane – I felt like I was flying!  Click to continue reading →
